goodness…

Well, it’s been a while since I’ve posted a blog. Kayleigh’s been sick for the past week. I went to work on Monday and Tuesday but got an email from the daycare saying that Kayleigh was sick and I needed to go get her. So it was nice having a half day off and I had already taken Wednesday off because she was supposed to get her shots and have her 4 month check-up. We went to the doctor and she weighs 12 pds 4 ounces and is 25 inches long…so she’s still small for her “age,” but she’s healthy has a horse… he thinks its just a stomach bug that’s going around. So I took her to work today and got another email saying that she’s still sick so I have the rest of the week off… don’t know what I’m going to do! Actually we’re thinking of going to Bozeman and going 4-wheeling.

Kayleigh found her voice a couple weeks ago and loves to jabber, jabber, jabber… she can seriously talk your ear off! I love it though… I went thru all her clothes yesterday and took out all the preemie and 0-3 month old… makes me sad that she’s growing soooo fast!

Ryan hasn’t been having his headaches near as much as he used to. He was put on Depicote for the headaches and it worked wonders… then it went generic and the headaches came back. He had blood tests done on his liver and the Depicote was really hurting his liver so he had to stop taking it immediatly and they’re going to try a different medication.

We found out tonight that Ryan’s younger brother Kyle, who’s 24 had a heart attack a couple days ago. I think he’s doing ok but he’s having a bunch of tests done to find out what’s going on…

But other than that, I know nothing…

Well, these past few weeks have been pretty busy and stressful. On August 22nd Ryan decided he wanted to go camping with his parents up at Jefferson Creek. It’s past Neihart and Monarch and about a mile past Memorial Falls. He called me after work and told me that we were going to take his white work truck instead of our Dodge since it had the longer box to put the 4 wheeler in. I said we should take the Dodge since it had more room in the cab to put things for us and Kayleigh and our dogs… Well, we ended up taking the work truck. We packed up and left and got right before Memorial Falls and heard a loud “pop!” I didn’t know what it was and I looked over at Ryan and all he said was, “my truck is dead…” I didn’t rub it in his face that he should have listened to me like I usually do. So we get out and check the engine and can’t find anything wrong… But his truck still wouldn’t start up. So he asked me to help him unload the 4-wheeler… keep in mind that this 4-wheeler weighs about 1,000 pounds! I was like, “okay, lets get out the ramps and set them up…” well, he didn’t bring the ramps because he was going to use his parents to unload the 4-wheeler. ugh! So thank goodness we had the winch and I operate that and Ryan stood behind it to help get the back tires on the ground and then he just drove it off…. So he went and got his parents and they pulled us into camp. But all in all, it was a pretty good weekend. We camped with his parents in their trailer and Kayleigh really enjoyed being up in the mountains as well as our dogs. We figured out it was the timing chain that went out on his truck so we’re waiting to get the extra money to get it into a shop to get it fixed… here are some pics!

Lillie Mae Jacobson

Lillie Mae Jacobson was born August 6th, 2008. She weighed 6 pounds 7 ounces and was 18 1/2 inches long.

Ryan’s mom, Sherry got this outfit for Kayleigh. As you can see, the back has a tail on her butt, and there is a cows head on the front… In all actuality, it should be a pig, but it’s still cute!

Glacier National Park

We went to Glacier National Park a couple weeks ago in our new car and really enjoyed it. The scenery was beautiful and the goats were ugly as always. Kayleigh did good but there were the fussy times where we just propped up a bottle on a blanket and kept driving. It was just a fun day to get away and hang out with each other.

Half Pom, Half Baby?

Last summer I convinced Ryan to buy me a little Toy Pomeranian… not knowing what we were getting into. Once he got used to us he really opened up and showed us what kind of personality he really has, and it’s pretty neat! I swear this dog is half human! To kinda give you some examples… I was driving to work on morning and Ryan calls me up to tell me what Nugget just did. Apparently, he’s turning into a copy cat. Ryan was sitting at the table that morning and Nugget just happened to be sitting at his feet watching him. Well, Ryan sneezed and Nugget cocked his head and did a fake sneeze. Ryan couldn’t believe it, so he sneezed again only to have Nugget copy him again! He’s such a dork!

When I was pregnant with Kayleigh and started to show, Nugget got really clingy to me and would always come up and lay on my belly or put his front paws on it. But when we actually brought the baby home it was a different story. During the days on my maternity leave, if I didn’t get to Kayleigh soon enough he would start barking at me as if he was chewing me out! One morning Kayleigh was laying on my bed and Nugget was laying next to her and Kayleigh would stretch and then Nugget would…but as he would stretch he would try to reach his front paws to her to get her to stretch again…this went on for awhile.

But he really is one of our little babies… We love Bubba too, but we’re giving him away so we can get a female pom to breed them and sell their puppies… So if you are interested, let me know!

Well, after my sister and her family were out here for vacation a couple weeks ago, I decided that I needed to start a blog so they can see how fast Kayleigh is growing…and so that Ryan’s family can see her also. It’s hard to believe that she is already two months old! It really does go by fast! But here is a picture of the little girl.
